Summer Camp at the J
June 25-28, 2024
Spend some of your Summer Break getting creative at the J! Young artists sign up for a 4-day program and can choose between a Morning Sampler Camp to try something different each day, or the Afternoon Intensive, focusing on one art form all week.
Morning Sampler Camp – 10:30am – 12:30pm
Each group of kids stays together as a class and visits a different workshop each morning. Including: Clay Creatures: An Introduction to Clay with Pam Fredback, Let’s Paint: Watercolor Sea Turtles with Angela Wright, Potholder Weaving with Cecilia Morales, and Garden Fun with Liane Budden.
Lunch Option – 12:30 – 1:00pm
Students that are participating in both the morning and afternoon camps can bring their own lunch and will have a supervised lunch break down on the patio outside. We do not currently offer the option to order lunch in-house, but lunch can be ordered from our neighborhood cafes like Avenue Bread and the Lynden Dutch Bakery.
Afternoon Intensive – 1:00 – 3:00pm
Artists in the afternoon groups will stay in the same class all 4 days for a bigger project. This is a deep dive into one art form, a chance to learn a lot in one area!
Art Classes for Kids
Classes are available for registration! We’ve got a wide range of offerings for kids of all ages. From pottery to theater, there is something for everyone. Class age limits are a guideline, so pick the class your young artist will feel the most creative in.
