Welcome to the Family Interactive Gallery (FIG)!
30% capacity. Beginning Thurs., Nov. 4, 2021, the FIG will be open extended days and times! Our new hours will be Thursdays-Saturdays from 10am-5pm and Sundays from noon-5pm. Reservations are no longer required to visit the FIG.

With safety in mind, we have made some changes to the FIG experience. Here’s what you can expect:
- Limited Hours – The FIG is open Thursday – Saturday, noon – 5pm.
- Limited Capacity – Our visitor capacity in the FIG is currently limited to 30%. If you visit and we are at capacity, you are welcome to explore the rest of our campus until there is room available. Please check back with the Visitor Services Attendant to confirm availability.
- Exhibit Cleaning – Our hand-held toys and touchable exhibit surfaces will be cleaned and rotated between families or sessions. Many of our costumes and some fabric exhibit pieces have been removed.
- No Food or Drink Except Water Bottles – Our water fountain is temporarily closed, but you can bring a water bottle. Please leave food, snacks, and other beverages in the car or at home.
- Plan Ahead – Please bring only what you need. If possible, leave large bags and strollers in your car. We do have stroller parking right outside the FIG if needed.
- Art Studio – The studio is open with limited capacity for creative play and self-guided activities prepared by our FIG staff. Our educator-led activities (Science Lab, ARTstarts, & Music Makers) have been temporarily suspended.
- Story time – Every Thursday & Friday at 3pm, explore animals of the Salish Sea! We introduce a new animal each week with interactive stories using a variety of props, music, and movement followed by a creative activity in the art studio based on the story.
- Birthday Parties – We cannot host birthday parties or take party reservations at this time. Check out our Museum Store for great gift ideas.
