Friday, March 22 from 11am-12pm–This free Schimmel Showcase with piano soloist Jason Stoll is open to the public.  With Stoll at the keys, concertgoers will hear a varied fun program that includes classical and early 20th Century gems that demonstrate the wonder of this rare and beautiful instrument. 

Saturday, March 23 from 7:30pm-9:30pm–This limited ticket event features Jason Stoll playing a diverse and exciting program of classical and early 20th Century music plus an all-Chopin second half. ABOUT THE SCHIMMEL PIANO

Anyone who goes to the Jansen Art Center on any given day, might just be treated to the sounds of its rare Schimmel piano found in its upstairs performance space being played. Known for its high ceilings that radiate beautiful musical sounds, the “J” as locals call it, fills with thunderous drama with every keystroke from its rare Schimmel piano. When live music permeates every corner of the center, it lets people know wonderful things are happening at the J. The Jansen’s Schimmel piano tuner and technician, Ed Mashburn, who tuned pianos for some of the great concert houses and pianists around the country raves about the Jansen’s Scmimmel saying that it is perhaps the “finest sounding” example of its kind he’s ever heard.
